[First seven lines:] Du mardy 24 novembre 1682 Nous, Pierre le Mercier et Clement Gasse, imprimeurs | & marchands libraires à Paris: ayans esté requis | de la part de madame la veufve Chardon, & de monsieur | son fils aisné, de vouloir faire l’inventaire, prisée & | estimation des presses, caracteres et ustanciles d’imprimerie | à eux appartenans, avons procedé comme il ensuit.

[First seven lines:] On Tuesday, November 24, 1682 We, Pierre le Mercier and Clement Gasse, printers and booksellers in Paris, having been asked by the widow and the eldest son of Jean Chardon to draw up the inventory & appraisal of their printing presses, types and printing material, we proceeded as follows.
