The title of this lively republican newspaper pays tribute to revolts against monarchical rule in France and in Brabant, a Belgian province of the Austrian Netherlands.

The caption under the illustration reads: “Portraits of the Impartial, the Moderates, and the Moderators, also known as the Aristocrats.” The text on the facing page reads, “Not a single day goes by but the National Assembly receives from the Provinces congratulations, tributes, and professions of complete adherence to its decrees, and a kind of worship and idolatry. It is from Languedoc, Montpelier, Bordeaux, and the area around Bearn that the most patriotic addresses arrive. In these Provinces, there had formed groups of Aristocrats, that melted like the snow, and the people hastened to make amends for their coalition…”
